Scheduled inpatient treatments
AXA Healthcare contributes to the costs of scheduled hospital stays in acute-care hospitals, psychiatric clinics, and rehabilitation clinics abroad under supplementary hospital insurance (Hospital General Ward, Hospital Semi-Private, Hospital Flex 1, Hospital Flex 2, Hospital Private, and Accident – Private).
Partnerships with hospitals
Essentially, any hospital can be chosen for a scheduled treatment. We recommend obtaining information from your general practitioner, for example, about the quality of the hospital abroad. The list below contains a selection of hospitals in Europe that work closely with local AXA health insurers.
Should you be planning elective treatment at a hospital abroad, it’s important to state before being admitted that you are a self-pay patient and that you are insured with AXA Switzerland.
